Typically you will typically earn 50% of every sale that you generate as an affiliate. In addition as an affiliate you can usaually use promotional tools provided by the person selling the product.

2. Second option is to create your own product

Another way to start a home based business on the internet is to create your own product. It may not be so concerning and could in the form of an audio interview, a short report,an ebook and a video. The main thing is that it needs to provide a solution to a specific problem. The only limit on how you deliver your content within your product is your imagination.

It might take some time to create your first product - If this is your first time tackling anything like this. However for example if you don't like writing then I would definitely suggest a video, or audio interview. Of course the advantage of this compared to becoming an affiliate is that you can sell your product and keep 100% of the profits as it is your product. Soon you will be creating a long-term business asset that will be more profitable for you in the long run.

The great thing about this is that you can create a residual income for yourself and rely on repeat custom from the same people. In other words you gain your customer and keep your customer with monthly revenues. This means that you don't have to put so much effort into finding more customers because you'll have continual payments coming in from the same people every month.

What's more, a membership site doesn't necessarily have to provide written content, or even learning of any kind (although many do.) It could simply be a paid forum where members can congregate and network for a small monthly fee.
